2009-2010 Chancellor Heard Greek Awards

This year the Brothers of Nu Rho were incredibly successful at Vanderbilt's Chancellor Heard Awards. They received three Greek Awards, tied for the most of any NPHC organization. The chapter received Oustanding Campus Involvement and Most Improved Chapter. The chapter advisor Eugene S. Hampton II received Advisor of the Year. In addition to these awards, two Nu Rho Brothers were inducted into the inaugural class of Vanderbilt's Greek Who's Who. The chapter looks forward to building on this success to increase its success and influence in the future.

Spring 2010- Step Show

On March 20, 2010 The Brothers of Nu Rho Chapter competed in the annual MOSAIC Step Show at Vanderbilt University. The Brothers had a very special guest in their performance, the Provost of Vanderbilt University, Richard McCarty. Provost McCarty was very gracious in his cooperation and participation and the chapter would like to acknowledge him for all his effort.

VSG Off-Campus Rep (Williams)


Bro. Jeremy Williams (Spring 09) was elected this fall to the office of Greek House/Off Campus Representative in Vanderbilt Student Government.

In addition to these Brothers presiding over various student organizations many other Brothers hold high offices in various organizations such as Black Student Alliance, Multicultural Leadership Council, Vanderbilt Spoken Word, National Society of Black Engineers, and many other organizations. Nu Rho is making its mark throughout the campus!

VUcept




This fall Bro. Jeremy Williams (Spring 09) was a student leader in Vanderbilt’s VUcept program for first-year orientation. Bro. Williams was the only member of the NPHC that served in this year’s VUcept program.

For the 2009-2010 school year 100% of the chapter is involved actively with at least one other campus organization.
